Child Safety Standards

Tailmates is a social app for adult dog owners. This page sets out the standards we enforce against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE): how we prevent it, how it can be reported, and what happens when it is found.

1. Adults-only service

• Tailmates is intended for users aged 18 and over, and is rated accordingly on Google Play.
• We do not offer content or features directed at children, and accounts identified as belonging to minors are removed.

2. Prohibited content and behaviour

The following are strictly prohibited and result in immediate removal and account termination:

• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind — real, drawn, or computer-generated.
• Sexualisation of minors, including comments, imagery, or profile content.
• Grooming, solicitation, or any attempt to contact or meet minors.
• Trafficking, sextortion, or any other form of child exploitation.

3. In-app reporting

• Any profile or content in the app can be reported directly from within Tailmates (for example from a dog or owner profile).
• Reports of child safety concerns are prioritised and reviewed promptly by moderation.
• Users can also block other users at any time.

4. Moderation and enforcement

• Reported content is reviewed by a human moderator.
• Confirmed violations lead to content removal and permanent account termination.
• We preserve relevant evidence as required for reporting to the authorities.

5. Reporting to authorities

• Confirmed CSAM is reported to the relevant regional and national authorities and, where applicable, to child protection organisations such as NCMEC.
• We cooperate with lawful requests from law enforcement in connection with child safety investigations.
